Googleでは、自分が仕事によって成し遂げたいことが可能であると考えるためです。私は仕事を通じて、個々人の選択肢がこれまでより広まる世界を実現したいと考えています。そのための手段として、広告の点からアプローチしていきたいです。というのも、広告によって様々な人に情報が届く。そして、その情報によって、受け取った人々の新たな可能性が拓けると考えるためです。入社から五年後には、広告事業のプロジェクトリーダーを任される存在になりたいです。そのためには、チームを率いて、メンバーと協働する能力と数多くの広告事業に携わる経験を積む必要があると考えます。そういった能力を培って、経験を積むには、多種多様な顧客に関われ、幅広い仕事が可能で、かつ、仕事に精通しているプロフェッショナルが多数いる環境が必要です。世界中でそのサービスが用いられているGoogleなら、その環境が揃っていると考え、Googleを志望します。 続きを読む

Google’s Associate Account Strategist is a position that requires communication, management, creativity and presentation skills. These are the exact skills I acquired in college, where I pursued political science and theatre. In terms of communication skills, not only have I lived in the U.S. and China for a total of 9 years, where I interacted with people from various backgrounds, I was also constantly talking to and understanding people with different opinions in political science. For example, I studied at an American university in my junior year where I encountered students with strongly liberal views. The following year when I was chosen as a delegate of Japan in a research fellowship held in Washington D.C., however, I found myself in midst of highly conservative people who frequently referred to the U.S. as the “leader of the free world.” In terms of management skills, I interned at the U.S. embassy in Tokyo and at an international performing arts festival as a program manager, which required managing of 50 programs a year and 20 performing art pieces in 2 months, respectively. In terms of creativity and presentation skills, I have played lead roles 4 times in theatrical productions, including a performance where I won the Best Actress prize, and the deep involvement in theatre made me a confident and adept public speaker and a creator. There is no other position like an Associate Account Strategist where I can utilize all of my experience and skills I acquired in college to help make impact in the world. Additionally, I am especially attracted to this position because it shares the same kind of responsibility that I faced as a lead of theatrical productions. As the primary point of contact for clients, Associate Account Strategist is responsible for effectively conveying all the benefits of Google products and services that other employees have created. This is the same when you serve as a lead of theatrical productions. I was the communicator that connected the production and the audience, because no matter how the story the scriptwriter wrote was beautiful or how the lights, sounds, and sets that the backstage crew had worked on were spot-on, it ultimately depends on the actors to convey that to the audience.
