音楽サークルの会計にて、共に会計を担当した同期と協力しながら、【振込期限遅滞者の減少】を成し遂げました。この課題を解決させるにあたり、最も困難だったのは「振込期限遅滞者が100人のサークル員のうち2割を占めるほど多発した瞬間」です。困難を乗り越えるべく、「締め切り意識の薄さ」と「会計への信頼の薄さ」が問題の原因であると考えた私は、対策として「呼びかけの徹底」「信頼度向上」に取り組みました。前者では、リマインドと共に、事後的対策として未振込者の名前を思い切って公表しました。加えて特に忘れがちな人に対し、もう一人の会計担当と共に個別での催促や次回の振込期限日の事前告知を行い、振り込み忘れが減るよう粘り強く取り組みました。一方、私は強硬策ばかりでは反発を買うだけで信頼は得られないと感じ、後者では従来より感じていた会計への不満解消に努めました。その結果遅滞者の割合を２割から１割に減らせました。 続きを読む

一つ目は【吹奏楽部でチームリーダーを務め、高校対抗コンテストにおけるチームの優勝に貢献したこと】です。練習を始めたての頃は、楽器初心者と経験者の間に練習進度のギャップがありました。ギャップの原因は各メンバーの進度を考慮していない練習予定にあると考え、メンバーごとに練習予定を組み直すことで、コンテストの優勝を実現しました。 二つ目は【深層学習を用いた画像修復の研究】です。画像修復は汚損した画像の復元をしたり、画像内における不要物の除去をしたりする技術です。私の研究では色と形の修復を別々に行うことで精度向上を実現し、2021年10月に行われた国際学会にて成果を発表しました。 三つ目は【IT企業での長期インターンシップ】です。担当業務の中で最も時間のかかる「企業情報の調査と入力業務」を自動化するソフトを自ら発案して開発した結果、従来は丸１日かかっていた業務時間を10分に短縮しました。 続きを読む

When I learned that Morgan Stanley was actively implementing machine learning into their systems, I was impressed by the high level of technology. What made me feel that way was Next Best Action. This project is great because it brings benefits to both customers and employees. I empathize with Morgan Stanley's "challenging attitude", which actively incorporates new technologies. I want to start my career in such a wonderful environment and grow as a member of society while cooperating with the people around me. Since I am currently studying machine learning in graduate school, I believe that I will be able to use machine learning to further improve Morgan Stanleys' systems and achieve better services for customers. In addition, I have a strong sense of responsibility and persistence in my work, and I am able to build trusting relationships with people around me. In the music circle where I was in charge of Treasurer, I received a comment that "Since Ms. XXX became the Treasurer, we started to make transfers faster." I would like to contribute to Morgan Stanley by utilizing my tenacity and sense of responsibility, which I have more than others, and by cooperating with many people. 続きを読む
